500 Smith & Wesson Magnum Magnuforce Subsonic Ammunition

Got Terminal Performance??

Introducing IQ Munitions 500 S&W 575 grain subsonic ammunition.

For those of you who love suppressed shooting/hunting this ammo puts an end to the argument that subsonic ammunition lacks terminal performance. With its 575 grain bullet, at 1000 feet per second from an 16-18″ barreled rifle, it generates 1277 foot pounds of energy at the muzzle and offers 1 to 1-1/2 MOA accuracy at 100 yards. The long-wide-flat-nose profile penetrates deep and displaces a lot of bone and soft tissue for maximum terminal effect. This ammo was developed specifically for suppressed shooting with the clean burning flash suppressant powder, and the Hi-Tek Supercoat bullet coating which eliminates lead fouling; it is equally effective in unsuppressed rifles and revolvers.

Chamber pressures are well below the SAAMI maximum for this cartridge. Velocities in a revolver with a ported 8 1/2” barrel run 860 feet per second with a very manageable recoil while still generating 944 foot pounds of muzzle energy. Currently there are several single shot break action rifles on the market as well as the beautiful Big Horn Armory lever action rifle which can be purchased with a threaded barrel(verified 3/6/2020).
